Peakland Primary Parents Teachers Association “Parental involvement is widely recognised as a key factor in every child’s academic achievement”. Chairman : Alex Layder The Peakland Primary Parents Teachers Association (PPPTA) is made up of parents and friends of the School - every parent/guardian with a child attending, is automatically a member. We have a meeting about once a month, to plan social/fundraising events. Every parent is welcome to attend these meetings and take part in discussions. PPPTA meetings are held in the School Staffroom at 8pm. Meeting dates are printed in the PPPTA newsletter and the School calendar, and notices are put up around the School as a reminder. Some of the activities we have organised in the past include: Summer and Christmas Fairs Quiz night Kids Fashion Show Car Boot Sales Xmas Shopping Evening Easter Hat Parade Easter Egg Raffle May Ball 100 Club Webb Ivory Catalogue Bulb sales School Calendar We are always looking for new ideas and fresh inspiration, so please come along. We are a friendly bunch, who want to help provide the best possible facilities and resources for our children – and we like to have fun doing it!! We realise that there are many other pressures on our time, and that many parents work and are unable to become as involved. There are a number of parents who help us in other ways: by supporting the fundraising events, contributing raffle prizes, and offering much needed help at events by selling tickets and manning stalls etc… We are proud to have a strong School community – do join us! |
